Co. Kerry

Caragh Lake. This area is something of a hidden gem. Just 8km from Killorglin, there is a great drive around the lake and it is also ideal for cycling. Towering above are the awe-inspiring McGillycuddy Reeks. Don't forget the camera.

Crag Cave. Discovered in 1983, this cave system is one of the largest in Ireland and consists of a stunning array of stalagmites and stalactites stretching 3.8km into oblivion. Look out for the Cathedral and Crystal Gallery structures.

Kenmare. Charmingly situated at the head of Kenmare Bay where the Roughty River meets the sea, Kenmare provides the tourist with an excellent headquarters for exploring both the Iveragh and Beara peninsulas comprising some of the finest scenery to be found in any land. There are many sheltered coves along the coast west of the town of Kenmare which offer good bathing and a boat trip on the Kenmare river is specially recommended. Golf, angling and rough shooting also may enjoyed.
